Job Description

Overview : UX Designer is to work closely with the Client in a highly collaborative effort using their expertise to develop a UX Web Design Plan. Project is a two-year effort, redesigning the entirety of our external user experience. The design will align with our new Design System to lean into Generative AI to deliver intuitive and natural interfaces for the interaction, drive high levels of self-service while also elevating interactions we want supported by staff, with designs tested and informed by a parallel research effort.

Scope of Work :

• Define the Project Scope and Objectives :

Clearly outline the project goals, target audience, and desired outcomes.

• Understand the business needs and user requirements to ensure the project aligns with both.
• Research and User Understanding :

Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points.

• Create user personas to represent different user groups and their needs.
• Map user journeys to understand the user experience flow
• Design and Prototyping :

Develop wireframes and low and high-fidelity mockups to visualize the design layout

• Create prototypes for interactive testing and feedback.

Complete Figma design files and prototypes covering the entirety of our digital experience for Injured Workers, Policyholders, State Agencies, Brokers, and Medical Providers covering all external facing applications

• Iterate on designs based on research findings and user feedback
• Identify use cases for Generative AI to personalize and enhance the UX.

Identify use cases that need human intervention or require elevation to State Fund staff.

• Testing and Validation :

Conduct usability testing with real users to identify areas for improvement.

• Gather feedback and analyze results to inform further design iterations
• Implementation and Launch :

Work with developers to implement the final design.

• Launch the product and monitor user feedback
• Iteration and Continuous Improvement :

Collect data on user behavior and performance.

• Continuously iterate on the design based on user feedback and performance data
• Document process for maintaining design system over time as design requirements change.
• Documentation :

Complete documentation of all components and pattern library supporting the new designs.

Technical Knowledge and Skills :

• 7+ years' experience
• UX design and research best practices,
• Design system development and management
• Figma
• Low fidelity mockups and wireframes
• High fidelity mockups
• Prototypes
• WCAG
• Designing AI experiences specifically Gen AI
