We are seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others improve their lives through health and fitness. This is a position to help support and grow our Personal Training department by working in a creative, fun and upbeat atmosphere where every day is different. Specifically, we are looking for a certified Yoga instructor to teach a few times per week to support our members in the recovery process and help them stay healthy and pain free! The Group Fitness Instructor’s focus is on helping members “Get to a Healthier Place®” by utilizing both Anytime Fitness and the instructor’s unique individualized creative approach. We are looking for a highly motivated and energetic Group Fitness Instructor. Candidate must be able to work with large and small groups as well as create an adaptive curriculum based on the types of sessions and clients that the instructor will be in contact with. Responsibilities: Lead groups of clients in dynamic workout classes that combine: cardio; cardio fusion; yoga; pilates; step; introductory strength training; HIIT; Zumba etc., keep log of attendees. Develop positive relationships with class participants while ensuring their safety, comfort, specifications to special groups, and being available for fitness questions and consultations. Assist in marketing and promotion of all group fitness classes offered at participating Anytime Fitness locations. Creating unique and specific classes that meet the need and demand of your clients as well as a schedule that fits the desired dates and times of the gym members. Qualifications: Current CPR/AED certification required. Certification in personal training and/or group fitness instruction through an accredited agency. Specialized certifications are current, if applicable (i.e. to perform Zumba, yoga, etc.) Desire to continually learn new principles in the areas of training, overall fitness, health and nutrition such as CE courses and seminars in various health fields. Experience and hands on training in group fitness, corrective exercise, post-rehab, and injury prevention are a plus.
